Welcome to LogicGrrrl!

Hello and welcome to LogicGrrrl,

LogicGrrrl is an upcoming event in the bustling city of Edinburgh taking place around March 2013. it is a response to the issues and under-representation of women in science, skepticism, the media and arts.

My name is Lynsey-Jane Gray, some may know me as Linky, and I am a woman who has appreciated the work of so many wonderful and talented women out there and I want to help showcase your successes with the rest of the world.

Here is my goal: The concept is to celebrate YOUR work, achievements and passion in your field. We want to give you this platform to promote your work to like-minded individuals and have fun in the process.

We are in discussions with venues to host the event. But because we want to use this to promote voices of women who may or may not be well known for their hard work and research we need your input before we finalise any details. Do we need simply a stage? Do we need space to display paintings or conference abstracts? By helping us shape the event you want you can help us decide where the event takes place.

So whether you are a particle physicist or a surrealist painter I want this event to be developed in collaboration with you, because it’s for you, so we are asking women to put themselves forward to speak, perform or display their work in its many forms for our event, time is short and there are so many talented women out there, so please get in contact soon.

Even if you don’t want to speak, perform, or display your work, your suggestions and ideas will help shape the final event.

Please contact me by leaving a comment below or by emailing me at this address: lynseygray@hotmail.co.uk

Many thanks to you all, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
